When speaking with people, who had lived on Lanzarote for quite some time and who would like to continue doing so, the same question kept coming up: what can life in community c ving there, the question repeatedly arose as to what can a life in community could look like here on the island, even if you are older and perhaps are in need of help.

Lisa Hugger contributed her expertise from her work as a project developer of communal housing projects in Germany and outlined various models that have been designed in projects implemented over the last decades (www.hugger-projektentwicklung.de).

This resulted in an initiative group for a cohousing project on Lanzarote at the end of 2020. We are now 14 members of a newly founded Spanish cooperative and have moved into our first project on Lanzarote in Tahiche.
